Brussels, 17 February 2025 - In view of the closure of the Audi Brussels plant, the three public employment services are joining forces to organise an Industry JobDay, in collaboration with the employers' federations Agoria, Beci, Voka Metropolitan and Vlaams-Brabant and AKT.
In response to the urgency of the situation, the three public employment services - Actiris, the VDAB and Forem - are organising this event to facilitate the professional transition of staff who have been made redundant, but also to offer new prospects to job seekers.
This inter-regional co-organisation is being funded by the European Union. All workers at Audi and its subcontractors will be invited.
This JobDay Industrie will take place on 3 April 2025 at The Egg (Anderlecht) and will be held in two sessions:
• Morning (10 am - 1 pm): access reserved for redundant employees of Audi Brussels and its affected subcontractors.
• Afternoon (1 pm - 5 pm): open to all jobseekers interested in careers in industry, logistics, construction, transport, IT and public services.
Strong mobilisation of employers
Following a survey by Agoria and its partner federations, many Belgian employers expressed an interest in workers made redundant by Audi and its subcontractors. Several companies have also approached Actiris, FOREM and the VDAB to recruit these talents. More than 70 employers will be present at JobDay with over 4,000 job offers.
Personalised support
The 3 public employment services (Actiris, FOREM and VDAB) will be present at a stand throughout the day to support participants in their job search and professional reorientation.
Through the organisation of this JobDay Industrie, Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels are joining forces to provide a concrete response to the employees affected and to the needs of companies looking for talent.
