Brussels, 03 September 2024 - From 15 October 2024, BECI will welcome its new Secretary-General, Lisa Isnard, who will follow in the footsteps of Jan de Brabanter.
Following a thorough selection process, BECI is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Isnard as Secretary-General of Beci, following in the footsteps of Jan de Brabanter.
With her knowledge of the Brussels economic landscape and institutional mechanisms, the current Chief of Staff for the Brussels Economy will ensure that the interests of Brussels entrepreneurs are properly heard.
In her new role, Lisa Isnard will also be responsible for defending these interests within Brussels' social consultation bodies, helping to combine economic development with social progress.
In selecting Lisa Isnard, we have opted for a progressive, pragmatic profile that listens to entrepreneurs. Her arrival at BECI will strengthen our teams in their role of promoting the Brussels economy and defending the interests of businesses and entrepreneurs, while providing answers to the challenges of tomorrow. Lisa will take up her post on 15 October 2024.
Lisa Isnard
‘Thank you to BECI and its members for giving me the opportunity to continue to work for the economic players in Brussels.
Brussels businesses are essential to the dynamism and prosperity of our region and our country. They provide solutions for developing a dynamic economy that will improve the social and environmental well-being of our region.
My role will be to be in the field and to listen to Brussels entrepreneurs, whatever their size, legal form or sector. I will do my utmost to represent them and to ensure that the public authorities put in place an ecosystem that is favourable to their development.
Brussels must be a role model for innovation, prosperity and sustainability’.
Thierry Geerts, CEO of BECI
‘First of all, I would like to thank Jan De Brabanter for everything he has done for BECI. Lisa Isnard has the perfect profile to succeed him as Secretary-General, with new energy and a wide range of experience.
Jan remains active at BECI and will work with Lisa on a number of assignments and files to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge and information.
I am looking forward to working with Lisa.'
