Launch of 'Hello Brussels' Event Series

"We are the Capital of Europe, and we’re also its capital of conviviality - international leaders and policy-makers rub elbows with artists,craftsmen and innovators all over the city.”                                               And at Beci, too!

Did you know that Brussels hosts:

  • 300 diplomatic delegations;
  • 220,000 expats;
  • 2,700 International Associations;
  • 1,500 international companies with their European HQ or subsidiary?

Brussels is indeed a hub for networking and opportunities, but for newcomers navigating the Brussels and Belgian institutional system and business regulations can be challenging.

We at Beci recognize the importance of supporting newcomers in their integration in Brussels and Belgium and would like to offer guidance in this matter. Together with our members and partners, on 18 April at 10 am we are launching a series of 'Hello Brussels' events, with the aim to to provide diplomats, international companies, foreign entrepreneurs, and expats with a quick understanding of

  • the Belgian institutional system and business landscape;
  • the ‘Brand Brussels’ initiative, and
  • a selected topic presented by our experts.

From discussions on taxes and legal frameworks to insights into real estate, trade, marketing, and more, our events will offer both general knowledge and practical examples from those who have used it.

At the series launch event on 18 April, we will provide a glimpse of what's to come in the months ahead, unveil some Brussels and Belgian identity, and hear testimonies from diplomats, businesses, and expats to learn what it means for them to live and work in Brussels.
